Princes Trust

"The Princes Trust Enterprise Programme - ...supports unemployed young people aged 18-30 to work out if their business ideas are viable and whether self-employment is right for them.

Depending on the outcome of this process, the programme can then offer mentoring support and, for those that really need it, financial support to start a business or mentoring support to secure goals in employment, education or training."

This is something I would really like to look into further as they could provide me with a start up fund for my business. They also supply mini business guides, which I have downloaded, printed out and filed in my PPD file to start looking at and working my way through.

freelanceuk.com is my new favourite website! It has so much information, with everything from how to set up your business, contract basics, working from home to the basics of VAT. This website will be really important to me when setting up my own business, finishing University and working with clients.

Business Link

Just a quick update to let you know that I am starting to make my way through the business link website to see what I need to start planning to have in place once I leave university to set up my own business and start up as a freelance designer. I have started with this article titled "Starting a business when you are young" which is specifically for people under 30 starting their own business. Next I think I will start to look into finance and any grants I am able to apply for.
