UCLAN Logo and Business card

The images below are for a business card design that i created quickly for the University of Central Lancashire's food book project. My sister is part of the sales and marketing team and even though they have a design team, the previous business cards were really badly designed and the design team had never even used inDesign/illustrator/photoshop! The original logo looked as though it was hand drawn and coloured in with coloured pencil and felt tips! I thought the design below was simple, effective, communicated what the group were about and the deep red gave it a classy, sophisticated look. I emailed the design of the business card and they liked it, so it will be printed as a business card for them to use when visiting food events, contacting publishers and giving out to contacts.
